    How long have you been a part of our gym?

    Since opening occasionally, full time 1 month.

    What is your favorite thing about coming to classes?

    I really enjoying seeing lots of positive people; it is a fun social setting. Good vibes.

    What are you most proud of accomplishing in your time here so far? What goals have we helped you reach?

    Climbing the rope was a great accomplishment for me. I feel like the trainers are so excited for you and encouraging that they push you to try and keep trying to accomplish goals.

    What would you tell someone who has never done CrossFit before and is considering joining?

    Don’t be afraid to try. Everything that looks hard can be made easier. You will be proud of yourself for rising to the challenge and proving you CAN do it.

    What has surprised you the most?

    That I am stronger than I knew.

    How have you changed, physically and/or mentally since joining us?

    I can feel more muscle tone and can see new muscle development – all over! I feel like I see improvement daily, which keeps me excited for tomorrow. Mental clarity and stress relief are such a positive of any exercise – added with the fun environment and sense of accomplishment at this gym leaves a girl feeling great!

    I joined CrossFit Glendive in August of 2016 when it was still Kettlebelle Fitness.  I really enjoy the group atmosphere during the classes.  The motivation and spirit of friendly competition that happens in groups really keeps me motivated.  Everyone is there to encourage everyone else and to help them out if needed.  It is not ‘cliquish’, everyone and anyone is welcome at every class.

    If someone is on the fence about joining, they should definitely come and check it out.  Do a few WODs and see how you feel (It would be my suggestion to sign up for a month of at least 3 days per week as you will have some muscle soreness for the first week or so).  It may seem intimidating if all you do is look at videos on You Tube or have checked out the CrossFit Games on TV, but everything can be scaled to your own abilities.  Sami and Sarah do a very good job of making sure everyone does what they are comfortable with and at the same time pushing you to improve.  They also make a valiant effort of trying to get some of us to back off of things some, even if we tend to let that advice fall on deaf ears.

    People have asked me several times how much weight I have lost.  I honestly don’t know since I don’t weigh myself.  I don’t feel it is an accurate measure of progress, since replacing fat with muscle won’t show on the scale.  I have lost approx. 5 inches from my waist though, and still making progress in that area.  I believe it is more of how you look and feel than a number on the scale.  One of my favorite things we do is mobility workouts during the week.  They really are essential for reducing injuries and soreness from some of the compound movements.

    What is your favorite thing about coming to classes?

    Seeing Sami and Sarah, and pushing myself in a positive atmosphere.

    What are you most proud of accomplishing in your time here so far? What goals have we helped you reach?

    I am most proud of my dedication. I have never in my whole life stuck with something consistently, even on the hard days!

    What would you tell someone who has never done CrossFit before and is considering joining?

    Your experience will be at your pace. You can scale everything, and work to push yourself with the positive encouragement of Sarah and Sami. Everyone is at different levels of strength and fitness, all trying to achieve their own personal goals.

    What has surprised you the most?

    Letting go of the number on the scale. I can see the change in clothes and mirror and strength in the gym, and it’s about so much more now.

    How have you changed, physically and/or mentally since joining us?

    Just since the transition to CrossFit in January and getting my nutrition in control, I have seen the most results. The pounds are coming off and my mental clarity and drive are the best they’ve been in my life.

    How supportive and uplifting everyone is.

    What are you most proud of accomplishing in your time here so far? What goals have we helped you reach?

    Advancing in my weights, working on my upper body strength.

    What would you tell someone who has never done CrossFit before and is considering joining?

    That it is truly life-changing. I feel stronger and more amazing than I’ve felt in a long time and this is only after 2 months.

    What has surprised you the most?

    How strong I actually am, mentally and physically.

    How have you changed, physically and/or mentally since joining us?

    I feel so much better about myself. I feel like I found myself again. I love it!
